July-August 2017 - Visitors are asked to access our Blog website
www.food-label-compliance.com during the update and redesign of this website.
Our new www.food-recall-law.com website will feature our work on Logistics and Supply-Chain Risk-Management as developed in our articles featured in Sci-Tech Lawyer and Food, Cosmetics & Nutraceuticals.** Our goal is to assist clients in the prevention of Recall Incidents and in the Mitigation of such incidents through prudent use of Insurance and other Risk-Management tools.
Our focus is on preventing Incidents and on ensuring that our clients have put in place and documented - before an Incident occurs - compliance systems that meet all FDA and USDA requirements as well as the requirements of Product Liability, Contamination & Recall, and USDA/FSA Crop insurance coverage.
June 2017 - Charles Woodhouse, already holding an MS Food Safety degree from Michigan State University, is now a graduate candidate for the degree MS Packaging (Materials Science & Engineering) at Michigan State University's School of Packaging. This graduate program in this increasingly important area of Food Science and Technology - the regulation of Food Contact Substances in the USA and Food Contact Materials in the European Union - will enable Woodhouse Shanahan to serve its clients at a level which cannot be matched by law firms that do not have lawyers who are not also credentialed food scientists and food engineers.
Attorney Woodhouse is the founding Co-editor of the American Bar Association publication - Food, Cosmetics & Nutraceuticals - ABA Science & Technology Section, Food Cosmetics & Nutraceuticals Committee.
